Description

GALVANIZED CEILING PROP 20kN

A high-quality galvanized ceiling prop with a load capacity of 20 kN is an essential component of professional and traditional formwork systems.

Designed for the safe and stable support of working loads during the pouring of concrete slabs, the installation of lintels, and the temporary propping of structural elements.

Constructed from durable, galvanized steel, the product offers excellent corrosion resistance, which significantly extends its service life—even under intensive use in challenging weather conditions.

Key product advantages:

  • Guaranteed 20 kN load capacity: an enhanced strength standard that ensures complete safety during formwork operations.
  • Corrosion resistance: a durable galvanized coating effectively protects the steel against moisture, rain, and construction mortars.
  • Easy and smooth adjustment: a high-quality thread and a robust adjustment pin allow for quick and precise positioning of the prop. to the desired height.
  • System compatibility: the prop is compatible with standard formwork accessories, such as crossheads or stabilizing tripods.

Installation method:

  1. Surface preparation: ensure that the surface beneath the prop bases is load-bearing, stable, and level. If placing on the ground, use thick wooden base plates or planks.
  2. Stabilizing the prop: to ensure vertical stability during the assembly of the formwork, place the prop into a formwork tripod.
  3. Setting the initial height: extend the inner tube to the desired height and secure it by inserting the locking pin (G-pin) into the nearest adjustment hole.
  4. Precise adjustment and tensioning: use the nut on the external thread to tighten the prop, pressing the head (or H20 timber beam) firmly against the slab structure.
  5. Checking verticality: before pouring the concrete, verify that the prop is positioned vertically using a spirit level.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

How should slab props be spaced correctly?

The spacing of the props depends on the thickness of the slab being poured and the formwork design. Typically, they are arranged in a grid with intervals of 0.8 m to 1.5 m, ensuring an even distribution of the load.

Is a tripod required for the props?

A tripod is not necessary for every single prop; however, it is recommended to use one for at least every third prop (or along the edges of the formwork) to ensure the stability of the entire structure before the concrete is poured.
